SNEAK PEAK: Inside Crewe's huge new entertainment venue creating almost 50 jobs

Crewe Nub News gained exclusive access into the huge new Tenpin 'entertainment centre' - set to open in the town this week.

Tenpin will be officially opening its new Phoenix Leisure Park leisure venue on Thursday 16 February - employing 49 staff.

Tenpin Crewe, Phoenix Leisure Park, will offer 25 bowling lanes (Alissa Cook-Gray).

The Dunwoody Way venue will offer 25 bowling lanes with TV booths, two themed escape rooms, a laser tag arena, arcade space, pool tables and a soft play area.

Tenpin will have have a variety of food on offer - including a burger and pizza menu.

It also has a huge bar offering a large drinks menu - with a variety of cocktails, beers and spirits.

Tenpin Crewe has two themed escape rooms and large toilet facilities (Ryan Parker).

General manager at Tenpin Crewe, Paula Hotson, was excited for the imminent opening of the venue.

Mrs Hotson told Nub News: "Following the success of our entertainment centre in Cheshire Oaks, we are delighted to bring a brand-new venue to Cheshire with our opening in Crewe.

Tenpin Crewe has an arcade space with a number of the latest machines (Alissa Cook-Gray).

"From striking bowling lanes with dynamic LED lighting and stylish booth seating, to state-of-the-art laser tag and escape rooms, we can't wait to welcome the local community to enjoy all that Tenpin Crewe has to offer." 

Tenpin Crewe is the leisure chain's 49th venue. It received over 700 job applications ahead of opening.

The premises license for this development was granted by Cheshire East Council in July.

It has taken just five months to get this new venue ready - with work starting back in mid-September.

Tenpin Crewe has now decided it will be open 10am to midnight (Sunday to Thursday) and 10am to 1am (Friday and Saturday).

The sale of alcohol and late night refreshments will end one hour before every close.

Each Tenpin Crewe bowling lane has a booth with tv channels to watch the latest sporting action (Ryan Parker).
