A serial rapist with 13 life sentences who committed offences in Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent during the 1980s - has been released from jail after 34 years.
Andrew Barlow, formerly Andrew Longmire, was granted his freedom on Monday 6 March.
The 66-year-old man committed sexual crimes across five counties - including Cheshire and Staffordshire in the 1980s.
Barlow committed offences at victims' addresses in Crewe (1984) and Fenton (1988).
He was dubbed 'The Coronation Street rapist' as most of the attacks took place in terraced homes across the north of England - with the majority in Greater Manchester.
Barlow was handed 11 life sentences in 1988 for raping 11 women.
He was also handed another 56 years for other offences.
In 2010, Barlow received two more life sentences for rapes he committed in 1981 and 1982 - following advances in DNA technology.
As he had already surpassed his original 20-year tariff imposed in 1988, only two more years were added to Barlow's sentence in each case.
Following his release, Barlow is barred from Greater Manchester and most of North Wales.
The serial rapist is still allowed in Crewe and Stoke-on Trent - despite committing crimes there.
Barlow now has to comply with requirements to live at a designated addresss, be of good behaviour, to disclose developing relationships and to report to court for supervision or other appointments.
He will have to comply with other identified limitations - surrounding contracts, activities, residency and an exclusion zone.
This exclusion zone prevents Barlow from contacting his victims.
Barlow also has to meet specified requirements relating to his use of electronic technology.
He will remain under supervision for the rest of his life and will be recalled to prison is he breaks 'the strict conditions' of his release.
A Ministry of Justice Spokesperson said: "Andrew Barlow will be under supervision for the rest of his life and can be recalled to prison if he breaches the strict conditions of his release."
