Road in Crewe South closes for 'carriageway improvement work'

A road in Crewe has closed for three working days, allowing "carriageway improvement work" to take place.

Salisbury Avenue closed at 9:30am on Wednesday 31 July, with the works aimed at being completed by Tuesday 6 August (updated).

The road closure will run between 9:30am and 3:30pm each day. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained "at all times."

A Cheshire East Council spokesperson said: "We are pleased to inform you we will be carrying out carriageway improvement work along Salisbury Avenue.

"Works to deliver carriageway improvements are scheduled to start on 31 July and will take approximately three working days complete, weather dependent.

"During this period, a road closure will be in place between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm, excluding weekends.

"We will make every effort to maintain vehicle access to your property or business.

Emergency vehicle access will be maintained on Salisbury Avenue at all times (Ryan Parker).

"However, due to the nature of the works, some inconvenience may still occur. There could be times when point of entry will vary.

"Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times."
