Road closed for hours after car crashes into telegraph pole near Crewe

A Cheshire road was closed for several hours after a car crashed into telegraph pole near Crewe, located by a former pub.

On Tuesday 20 February, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on the A530 Nantwich Road, Minshull Vernon, by The Verdin Arms.

At around 6:57am, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a car had collided with a telegraph pole.

A car collided with a telegraph pole on the A530 Nantwich Road, close to Hopley House (Ryan Parker).

The incident caused the telegraph pole to fall into the road.

There were no reports of any injuries, with no arrests made.

The A530 Nantwich Road reopened around midday, around five hours after the incident occurred.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 6.57am on Tuesday 20 February, police received reports of a collision on A530 Nantwich Road, Minshull Vernon.

"The incident involved one vehicle which had collided with a telegraph pole.

There were no reports of any injuries, with no arrests made (Cheshire Police).

"There are no reports of any injuries.

"The road was closed between Brookhouse Lane and Clive Green Lane due to the telegraph pole blocking the road."
