Male motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following serious collision in Crewe
A male motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a serious collision with a car in Crewe, taking place outside a frozen food shop.
The incident on Bradfield Road, by Heron Foods, happened at 7:51am on Thursday 2 May.
A Ford Focus collided with a motorbike, with a male motorcyclist sustaining serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
The motorcyclist was taken was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital via Air Ambulance, which had landed on Leighton fields.
Bradfield Road was closed for around two hours, but reopened just after 10am.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 7.51am on Thursday 2 May, police were called to a collision on Bradfield Road, near to Heron Foods.
"Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a car and a motorbike.
"The rider of the motorbike is believed to have sustained serious injuries and was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital via Air Ambulance.
"His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The driver of the car was uninjured.
"The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident, it reopened at around 10am.
