Real estate company Hillwood has secured a £33m investment from Cain International to develop a new industrial 335,000 square foot storage facility in Crewe.

Crewe 335, situated on Weston Road, will be located at the heart of Crewe Gates Industrial Estate.

The unit has an 18-metre eaves height, Grade "A" offices, dock and level access loading doors, yard depths up to 56 metres, and separate car parking, all within a self-contained and secure site.

This development has been designed to be sustainable from the start with 10 per cent roof lights, solar panelled roof, dedicated EV charging points, cycle spaces, and staff wellbeing areas.

Crewe 335 will also be built to BREEAM "Excellent" standards and will achieve EPC "A".

The new industrial storage facility is strategically located within 1 mile of the A500 and around four miles west of Junction 16 of the M6 Motorway.

Local occupiers to the development include: AO, Buffaload Logistics and BAE Systems.

Crewe 335 will be divided into 310,00 square foot of warehouse space, 20,000 square foot of offices, 5,000 square foot for a transport hub and 300 square foot for a gatehouse (Crewe 335).

Hillwood director, Armin Senoner, said: "This transaction signifies the initiation of a strategic alliance with Cain, as we aim to enhance our debt capital markets presence throughout the UK and other European markets."
