Princess Anne has landed in Crewe via helicopter to visit the historic Mornflake Oats factory off Gresty Road to celebrate its 350th anniversary and open a new building.

Around 3pm on Tuesday 29 July, Cheshire Police were seen at the entrance to Mornflake, with officers escorting the Princess Royal to the Crewe factory from a nearby field.

Mornflake dates back to the Lea family in 1675, where an oat mlling business was established in the Cheshire East village of Swettenham.
