A popular music artist who gigs 'in many pubs around Crewe' is currently making 'exciting' new material - after releasing three singles on 'major streaming platforms.'

Kelley Tigerheart has been a huge hit with local venues and audiences after performing her 'very first paid gig' at Crewe Market Hall in 2022.

The South African singer moved to the UK in 2019 - living in Crewe and Nantwich for the past three years.

"I've always been drawn to performing, because it's what I've been surrounded by most of my life," said Kelley.

Kelley grew in a musical family, with her mum playing in jazz bands, her grandad being a music director and her grandmother famously known as 'Mamma Country' back in South Africa.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Kelley worked in childcare. She unfortunately lost her job during this time.

The 27-year-old worked in hospitality during COVID - where her health deteriorated.

Kelley lost her job again and grew frustrated where her career was heading - deciding to head in a totally new direction.

Since then, Kelley hasn't looked back, performing in various locations, releasing three singles and now working on a new album.

Kelley Tigerheart's current main focus is performing classic rock and pop covers (Nub News).

Kelley told Nub News: "I decided I would invest in starting a career in something that I actually enjoyed doing, and so my performance career was born.

"I have a massive range of genres I like to sing and perform to. My main focus at the moment is on classic rock and pop covers.

"I advertise myself as someone who sings 'Hits Through The Decades' but I also love singing jazz and musical theatre.

"I don't really get the chance to do these genres much but I'll be trying to build specific shows around them for future potential performances."

"I have written and released there singles on some major streaming platforms, and currently working on another single with fellow artist, Marc Gallagher.

"I'm currently writing more of my own music and exploring genres for an exciting album I would like to release at some point next year."

Kelley Tigerheart's first ever paid gig was performed at Crewe Market Hall in 2022 (Ryan Parker).

Crewe means a lot to Kelley - grateful to have been welcomed by the town 'with open arms.'

The music artist plans to perform in Crewe for many years to come - believing the town's venue owners are always friendly and inviting.

Kelley said: "It was in Crewe where my very first paid gig was held. The town will always hold a massive place in my heart and career.

"I performed professionally for the first time ever at the Crewe Market Hall in the beginning of 2022 and was welcomed by the town with open arms.

"Since then I have gigged in many pubs around Crewe and look forward to doing so much more in the future.

"The venue owners in Crewe are always so welcoming and have always made sure I was comfortable in their pubs.

Kelley Tigerheart is currently working on another single with fellow artist, Marc Gallagher - and a new album (Nub News).

"It's nice to hear people are enjoying my performances and I hope that I've created a happy space for some people in the area.

"I want people to enjoy music that they love, and to sing and dance in a care-free space."

Kelley enjoys performing at lots of different locations - including venues in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Manchester and Liverpool.

Particular favourites of hers include The Cross Foxes in Chester and a pub run by a 'sweet young couple' on Wistaston Road in Crewe.

Kelley added: "The Hop Pole is definitely right up there with one of my favourite venues in the local area.

"This pub is run by a sweet young couple who are always very accommodating.

"I recently sang at their pub over Easter Sunday and their new outdoor entertainment area for Summer is perfect for families and music.

"I wouldn't want to single out venues though, I have many favourites."

Kelley is also a burlesque performer. She is starting to dip into comedy performances on top of her typical burlesque acts - performed over Crewe and Nantwich Pride in the past.

The performer will be debuting her adult comedy act at Nantwich Pride this year.

Kelley added: "My main focus right now is hosting my Showgirl Sass Burlesque Dance Classes in Crewe and surrounding areas.

"These classes are to empower and encourage anyone who joins to have fun in their own bodies and feel good about themselves.

"Classes will be starting in June and will be running under the name: TigerHeart Burlesque.

"Classes can be booked on my burlesque Facebook page."

Kelley Tigerheart will be performing at a variety of venues throughout 2023 (Nub News).

"I've also got many singing gigs coming up on the weekends - with only about 13 available dates left. I'm working on booking those up."

Kelley Tigerheart is next performing Hits Through The Decades at The Eight Farmers, Parkers Road, at 9pm on Friday 5 May.
