A popular Greek eatery in Crewe has permanently closed down, following "careful consideration" from its owner.
Corfu The Greek Souvlaki, Nantwich Road, closed for good on Saturday 16 March, after three and a half years in business.
The restaurant and takeaway sold a variety of Greek food, including kebabs, wraps, traditional dishes and pastries, sides and desserts.
Corfu achieved a Google rating of 4.8/5 stars from 110 reviews and a Facebook rating of 4.7.
Recently, the business received a number of complaints, which influenced the owner's decision to close.
A Corfu social media statement read: "After careful consideration, we have decided to close our shop on Saturday 16 March.
"We would like to thank all our customers for choosing us for their tea time food.
"If we have not achieved everyone's expectations that is because of the nature of the business and not anything we would deliberately do.
"We hope you find an equal or even better shop for your future dinners and also all the luck of the world. Thank you very much."
