A popular Crewe restaurant and takeaway has reopened under a new name - following a refurbishment and "quality changes" to its menu.

Legendary Waffles, Hightown, officially reopened as Crave Crewe on Friday 16 June - following almost six weeks of works and alterations.

The Crewe eatery has added two new stations to its store - now serving Cheshire Farm Ice Cream and Crewe's very own Camellia's Senses Tea.

Crave Crewe is now made up of four stations, with Legendary Waffles and Between Two Buns still part of its menu offering (Ryan Parker).

"We are still offering our old menu, but with many more additions. The people of Crewe are now welcome to come and dine inside our new-look restaurant - as well as enjoying our delivery service," said owner, Marcin Borkowski.

Mr Borkowski, from Poland, owns the business alongside partners Dominic Blaszczyk and Patryk Fabiszewski.

The Hightown restaurant serves a variety of food and drink, including: pizzas, burgers, ice cream, milkshakes and homemade sauces.

Since reopening as Crave Crewe, the Hightown eatery has received three new Google reviews - all rated five stars (Ryan Parker).

The refurbished business also sells sweet waffles, sundaes, crepes, smoothies and hot and cold drinks - along with a large number of extras.

Mr Borkowski told Nub News: "Since reopening, we have made high quality changes to become a top food restaurant.

"All of our meat produce comes fresh from a highly-rated butcher here in Crewe, with our ice cream coming from a popular local farm.

"As well as this, our new tea station has arrived in-store - following a collaboration with a Crewe business.

"We will soon be submitting a premises license application to serve alcohol here as well. "
