Pooch and owners 'injured' in Crewe dog attack incident at local park

Cheshire Police responded to reports of a pooch and its female owner being attacked by another dog, following an incident at a local park.
On Friday 15 September, police received reports of a "dog bite incident"' at Gutterscroft Park, off Primrose Avenue, Haslington.
At around 11:39am, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a dog had broken off its lead and attacked another smaller dog, leaving a wound.
The owner of the injured dog, a female, was knocked to the ground when attempting to intervene and bitten.
The larger dog's owner also obtained injuries to her hand and fingers when trying to unlock its jaw.
Everyone was checked over for their injuries, with none believed to be serious.
No arrests were made, with officers warning the dog attacker's owner of their responsibilities.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 11:39am on Friday 15 September, police were called to reports of a dog bite incident at The Gutterscroft park, Haslington.
"Officers attended and found a dog which had allegedly broken off its lead and attacked another dog.
"The owner of the injured dog, a woman, was also bitten after she attempted to intervene.
"Neither the dog nor its owner are believed to have sustained any serious injuries.
"No arrests were made."
