Cheshire Police are investigating 'two separate suspicious incidents' near Crewe - believed to have involved women being spiked at a local nightclub.

The alleged incidents happened at Nakatchas nightclub, Welsh Row, Nantwich, on Saturday (July 2).

A 19-year-old and a 24-year-old woman had both been on a night out in Nantwich.

The 19-year-old woman went to hospital feeling unwell and the 24-year old woman was found asleep outside a Nantwich shop the following morning.

The incidents happened at Nakatchas nightclub, Welsh Row, Nantwich, on Saturday - July 2 (Google).

Today (July 6), a Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "On Sunday (July 3), officers were made aware of two separate suspicious incidents involving two women who had been on a night out in the Nantwich area.

"The first incident was reported to us at 3.40am after a 19-year-old woman presented at hospital after feeling unwell following a night out in the town.

"Another report was made at around 2.18pm that day from a third party that a 24-year-old woman had been found asleep outside a shop in Beam Heath Way.

"The woman was found at around 8am and is reported to have been missing a number of items.

"There is no evidence to suggest that the women had been assaulted in anyway.

On Sunday (July 3), officers were made aware of two separate suspicious incidents involving two women who had been on a night out in Nantwich (Crewe Police).

"Further forensic testing is underway along with CCTV enquiries."

This week, reports circulated on social media that one of the women allegedly spiked, woke up in the early hours of Sunday morning, outside Screwfix in Nantwich.

The woman said that had no recollection of anything after arriving at Nakatchas.

Inspector Andy Smith said: "I know that these incidents have understandably caused alarm in the local community but I would like to reassure you that incidents such as these are rare.

"There will be officers patrolling the local area around key night time hot spots and I would urge anyone who has any concerns to please speak to an officer.

Cheshire Constabulary has confirmed there will be officers patrolling the local area around key night time hot spots (Cheshire Constabulary).

"There are a number of enquiries underway in relation to the incidents and I want to make it clear that we take all reports such as this seriously."
