Police investigate Crewe 'robbery' incident after man viciously attacked in street

Cheshire Police are investigating an alleged robbery incident in Crewe, following social media reports a man was "beaten" and "left unconscious" in the street.
A social media post shared to Crewe community groups claimed a late night attack took place on Oxford Street, on Monday 8 January.
The post claimed a man, who was autistic with a brain tumour, was beaten, had his head stamped on, left unconscious and then robbed.
It also claimed the man was taken to hospital around 2am on Tuesday 9 January in a 'serious condition.'
Police have since confirmed they received a third party report of a robbery in Crewe, with a man's wallet, Under Armour tracksuit and electronic tag allegedly robbed.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 4.53pm on Tuesday 9 January, police received a third party report of a robbery in Crewe.
"The caller reported that the suspects had stolen the victim's wallet, Under Armour tracksuit and electronic tag.
"The victim received minor injuries as a result of the incident and is currently receiving treatment in hospital for unrelated matters.
"It is not known at this time when or where the incident took place, and the victim does not want to make a complaint."
