Police helicopter circles over Crewe to find missing man in middle of the night

A police helicopter circled over an area of Crewe to help find a missing man taking place over the southern area of town - during the middle of the night.

The incident over Crewe South, including areas of Wistaston and Shavington, happened around 2am on Wednesday 29 March.

At 12:37am, Cheshire Police were called to reports of a missing man from Wistaston - quickly sending out officers to investigate.

Later on, police deployed a helicopter to assist with the search - helping to locate the man at 2:03am.

The missing man was soon located and returned to his Wistaston address.

On Wednesday afternoon, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "The police helicopter was up to assist in searching for a missing man from Wistaston.

Police deployed a helicopter to assist with the search - helping to locate the man (Cheshire Police).

"He was located and returned home."
