Firefighters rush to serious fire at commercial building close to Crewe Railway Station

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a serious fire at a Crewe commercial building - close to the town's railway station.

The incident on Savoy Road, off Weston Road, happened at 9:31am on Monday 27 March.

One fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene with an Aerial Ladder Platform - quickly assessing the situation.

No one was injured in the Savoy Road commercial fire incident (Google).

Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

They removed panels to check for further fire spread and a cordon was put in place at the scene.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters attended to a fire in a commercial property in Crewe.

"They wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
