Cheshire Police officers were called to a busy road in Crewe, following reports of a youth in crisis standing on the roof of a building.

On Monday 24 June, police received reports of an incident at a property on Nantwich Road, neighbouring Culland Street.

At 5.43pm officers arrived at the scene, locating a boy on the roof.

Cheshire Police officers engaged with the boy and after just over half an hour, he agreed to come down from the roof of the Nantwich Road property (Nub News).

The youth, who was thankfully unharmed in the incident, was taken to a place of safety.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 5.43pm on Monday 24 June, police were called to reports of concerns for the safety of a youth at an address on Nantwich Road.

"Officers attended the scene and located the youth on the roof of the property.

The youth, who was thankfully unharmed in the incident, was taken to a place of safety (Cheshire Police).

"Officers engaged with the boy and he came down from the roof safely at 6.15pm and was taken to a place of safety."
