Police block off Crewe road after arsonists strike 'disused building' again
Cheshire Police officers blocked off a Crewe road after arsonists targeted a "disused building" again - with firefighters at the scene for "around one hour."
The incident on Electricity Street, happened at 3:57pm on Sunday 18 June - with two fire engines from Crewe quickly arriving at the scene.
Crews tackled the flames, with Cheshire Police officers arriving shortly after - blocking off Electricity Street from Edleston Road.
Firefighters put out the deliberate blaze using a hose reel jet.
An ambulance also arrived at the scene, but there were no reports of any injuries.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters put out a fire at a disused building in Crewe using a hose reel jet.
"They dampened down the area and were in attendance for around one hour."
On Tuesday 20 June, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson added: "At 4.10pm on Sunday 18 June police were called to reports of a fire in a disused building on Electricity Street.
"There were no reports of any injuries."
The Electricity Street disused building continues to be regularly set alight.
