Police appeal for witnesses after van driver killed in crash near Crewe

POLICE are appealing for more information following a crash in Warmingham in which a van driver was killed.

A 50-year-old man from Middlewich died when his white Ford transit van was involved in a collision with a red Fiat 500 in School Lane just before 11.10 am yesterday (August 12).

The man's next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the Fiat was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Officers are now trying to trace the drivers of a white flatbed van and a red polo that were travelling through the location, around three miles north of Crewe, before the collision.

Police are also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any dashcam footage of the vehicle before the incident to come forward.
