Police appeal for information after cat dies from being shot in Crewe

Cheshire Police are urgently appealing for information after a cat was shot in Crewe - with the animal later being put to sleep due to its injuries.

On Sunday (January 15), a ginger cat was found severely injured in a garden on Fanshawe Walk.

The animal had been shot with a pellet gun and was put to sleep due to its injuries.

On Monday (January 16), Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

Officers say they are currently unsure where the cat attack took place.

A statement read: "At around 9.10pm on Sunday (January 15), officers received reports that a cat had been found injured at an address on Fanshawe Walk, Crewe.

"It is believed that the cat had been shot with a type of pellet gun.

"It is not clear at this time when the attack may have taken place."

Cheshire Police officers say they are currently unsure where the cat attack took place (Crewe Police).

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1457188.
