A 24-year-old man has been charged with a serious assault, following an incident on Thursday 10 August at Nantwich Lake on Shrewbridge Road (Jonathan White).

Cheshire Police detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a serious assault on a woman at a South Cheshire beauty spot this August.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with a serious assault, following an incident on Thursday 10 August at Nantwich Lake on Shrewbridge Road.

The incident, which happened during the late afternoon, is reported to have taken place at the car park and on the footpaths surrounding the lake.

Cheshire Police officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who might have seen anything (Cheshire Police).
