Armed police and helicopter called to reports of 'disturbance' in Crewe

Armed police officers and a police helicopter were called to the West End of Crewe, following reports of a "disturbance" in the town.
On Wednesday 13 September, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Dunwoody Way, close to The Four Eagles pub.
At around 5:45pm, local officers, supported by the firearms unit arrived at the scene, conducting a search of the local area.
Officers were soon joined by a police helicopter which hovered over the West End and Crewe town centre areas.
After finding 'no trace of anything suspicious,' police later called off the search. No arrests were made.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 5.45pm on Wednesday 13 September, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Dunwoody Way, Crewe.
"Local officers, supported by the firearms unit, were deployed to the scene and conducted a search of the area.
"There was no trace of anything suspicious and no arrests were made."
Customers were turned away from The Four Eagles, while officers dealt with the incident.
