Police appeal after stolen car dumped on Crewe street

Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage, after finding a stolen vehicle abandoned on a street in Crewe.

On Monday 4 November, officers located the vehicle on Mayfield Mews, off Minshull New Road.

Cheshire Police confirmed the vehicle had been stolen from Manchester on Saturday 2 November and dumped on a residential street in Crewe.

Officers are now urging anyone who saw anything suspicious between Saturday and Monday to get in touch.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At around 12.50pm on Monday 4 November, we located a stolen car on Mayfield Mews in Crewe, that had been stolen from Manchester.

"We are urging anyone who was in the area between 2am on Saturday 2 November and Monday 4 November and thinks they may have seen anything suspicious to get in touch.

"The same goes for anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage from around the time of the incident which may aid Greater Manchester Police investigation.

Cheshire Police is urging anyone who saw anything suspicious between Saturday 2 November and Monday 4 November to get in touch (Cheshire Police).

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Manchester Police on 101 or via the LiveChat function, quoting log number 3427 of 29/10/24.

"Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
