Plans been been put forward to to convert an old Crewe Chinese takeaway back into a flat, over a decade after it closed.
Applicant, Mr Nawzad, has submitted prior approval for a change of use of Happy Days Chinese and Thai Takeaway, Flag Lane, to dwelling house use only.
Happy Days, located next to the Wistaston Road crossroads, was a popular eatery with locals until its closure in the mid 2010s.
Formerly a chip shop from the 1950s, the Crewe West building has a long history of being used as an eatery.
On a Crewe Nub News social media post, local residents looked back on the old takeaway.
One reader said: "Their gravy was amazing. Always a warm welcome from Lisa." Another said: "Always went there after the swimming baths [Flag Lane] for tea."
The applicant proposes to install a new kitchen, living room, dining area and lobby on the ground floor. A yard area and bin storage is to the rear.
For the first floor, there will be two bedrooms, an office and bathroom.
The last date for submitting comments is Friday 12 June, with a target decision date of Tuesday 14 July.
