Plans have been submitted to convert a former Crewe taxi company office into a new self-contained flat - several years after it closed.

Meakes Properties Ltd applied to convert the former Mikro Taxis office, Victoria Street, into a self-contained flat on Wednesday 1 February.

This change of use proposal would see the front of the Crewe property elevated with new double glazed windows.

Mikro Taxis was bought out by Westside Taxis in 2019 - leaving the Victoria Street office vacant.

The ground floor would be converted to include a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room space and cycle storage.

Mikro Taxis was a well-used taxi service - claiming to offer the 'cheapest fares in Crewe.'

The company was bought out by Westside Taxis in 2019 - leaving the Victoria Street office vacant.

The last date for submitting comments on this application is Wednesday 8 March with a target decision date of Wednesday 29 March.
