Crewe man and woman sentenced following serious street assault in town

A Crewe man and woman have been sentenced following a serious South Cheshire street attack in 2019 - which left a woman hospitalised.

Nathan Wilkinson, 28, of Fanshaw Walk, and Amy Harrison, 26, of Pear Tree Avenue, were sentenced at Chester Crown Court on Monday 30 January.

The pair from Crewe pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actually bodily harm, which took place at The Birches on 31 May 2019.

During the attack they bit, kicked, stamped and punched the victim - hospitalising her.

Following the Chester Crown Court hearing, Wilkinson was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

The Crewe man and woman were handed a five-year retraining order from the victim.

Harrison was sentenced to nine months in prison, suspended for 18 months.

The Bentley employee must comply with a sentenced six-month curfew order - similar to a house arrest.

Harrison was ordered to stay indoors between 8pm and 6am - wearing a tag.

She was also handed a drink and drug rehabilitation order - preventing alcohol consumption for a period of 120 days.
