Pop impresario Pete Waterman will be sharing some of his railway stories at a Crewe-based charity's event.

The Railway Benefit Fund (RBF), of which Mr Waterman is president, is hosting an event to bring retired rail workers together in a social setting.

The charity's research has shown that retirement can sometimes be isolating, especially at this time of year, for former railways staff.

The event will bring people together for some rail-related conversations and to share experiences in good company.

West Coast Mainline operator Avanti West Coast will also be sharing some facts and figures on the Railway Benefit Fund-named Pendolino.

There will be tea, coffee and biscuits laid on for the event, which is being held at Avanti Training Academy in Westmere Drive in Crewe on Monday, November 28.

Transport will be provided to and from Crewe station for the event which runs from 1 to 3pm and is free to attend.

If you would like to attend complete the enquiry form on the RBF website or contact Ryan Morgan on 07754 762443 / [email protected]

If you need further information then check Avanti West Coast's website here.
