A person was taken to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation, following a Crewe bedroom blaze caused accidentally by lit candles.
On Friday 27 March, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to an incident on Lawton Street, off Edleston Road.
At 2.14am, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering smoke coming from a bedroom window.
Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, with a high pressure fan also used to ventilate the property.
Everyone in the Crewe home was accounted for, with one occupant taken to Leighton Hospital by North West Ambulance Service paramedics.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews were called to reports of smoke issuing from a bedroom window in Crewe.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and a high-pressure fan to ventilate the property.
"A ladder was used to check the loft space for signs of fire spread.
"All persons were accounted for, and one casualty suffering from smoke inhalation was taken to hospital by paramedics.
"The fire is believed to have started accidentally due to lit candles."
