PayByPhone services are not longer down.

On Friday, Nub News reported that PayByPhone services were down in all Crewe car parks, Cheshire East has now confirmed they are back working again.

Cheshire East Council has updated residents on social media, stating: "We are now able to advise customers who use PayByPhone in our car parks to continue to do so.

"Card payments may require additional security checks, required by providers as with other points of sale."

Cheshire resident Wendy Brown said: "I had to update my app but it seems to be working fine."

16 car parks in Crewe were affected but now residents can use all car parks as normal.

Lyceum Square car park remains closed, although some of the disabled spaces are open.
