A Crewe primary school's popular before and after school club has closed with 'immediate effect' - much to the anger of an affected parent.

The club was provided by private company, Premier Education, who pulled the service without warning - informing all affected by letter.

Premier Education director, Tom Darby, wrote a letter directed to parents of Vine Tree Primary.

The letter read: "It is with regret that we have had to make the decision to unfortunately close The Tree House before and after school club at Vine Tree Primary.

"Despite our best efforts and many considerations taken, we have regretfully had to come to this hard conclusion.

"Please be assured this has not been a decision which has been taken lightly.

"We regret any convenience this may cause for our parent and children customers. We also apologise for the sudden nature of this announcement."

Premier Education director, Tom Darby, wrote a letter directed to parents of Vine Tree Primary (Nub News).

This was the second year The Tree House before and after school club had been provided by Premier Education.

An affected parent was furious with the closure - labelling the situation as "a disgrace."

The parent told Nub News: "I appreciate private companies are to make money, but when providing a service to a school, to withdraw with immediate effect is nothing short of a disgrace.

"There has been no notice period to the parents at all.

"It has left those who use it regularly in a really difficult situation."

Vine Tree Primary has yet to comment whether a replacement before and after school club provider will be arranged (Google).

The Tree House before and after school club closure came after parents of Vine Tree Primary noticed the booking portal was not available on it website.
