THE 65th Cancer Research UK Christmas Fair at Wistaston Memorial Hall raised over £2,500.

The event, organised annually by the Crewe and Nantwich Cancer Research UK Group, was scaled down because of Covid regulations with reduced number of stalls and a one-way system to avoid congestion.

However, there was plenty on offer including stalls selling cake and bake, jam, preserves and pickles.

There was a Christmas Draw and Raffle, a wine lucky dip and Santa was very busy dishing out presents for children attending.

The £2,500 raised will be match funded and will go to Cancer Research UK.

A representative from Crewe and Nantwich Cancer Research UK Group said: "We were very pleased to welcome a record-breaking number of young visitors to see Santa and thank everyone for supporting our event and in turn Cancer Research UK."
