CREWE'S Lyceum Theatre is set for a poignant show later this year when comedian Tommy Cannon makes a welcome return.
Theatre bosses have booked the 82-year-old comedian for a nostalgic evening of laughter and songs, but one that will also see him recall tales of his legendary double act with the late Bobby Ball.
The Lyceum paid tribute to Ball when he passed away last October, aged 76, after a battle against Covid-19. The duo had been due to perform in the venue's 2020 panto, 'Sleeping Beauty', which like all other shows at the venue since last March had to be shelved.
For his show on Saturday, October 23 Tommy will be joined on stage by Johnnie Casson and Stu Francis and will be hosting a Q&A with the audience.
Tickets are £24 and £22 concessions and while the theatre remains closed you can go here. to book.
Live performances are off until later in the year after a heavy rescheduling operation. Shows planned for later in the summer/autumn include the Bon Jovi Experience (July 24) and Phil Wang (September 2).
