A new tattoo and photography shop has been given the green light to open in Crewe town centre, located inside one half of a former craft beer bar.
On Wednesday 13 March, Cheshire East Council approved Ice and Fire Studios Ltd's change of use for 14 High Street.
Operated by Megan Soper, the new tattoo studio will be opening inside one half of the old Craft Beer Oasis bar, which has been split into two separate units.
Previously occupied by Beerdock Tap 40, Craft Beer Oasis permanently closed in June 2023.
Ice and Fire Studios will be opening in the smaller unit under the to let sign, with a new African restaurant opening at 12 High Street.
The business gained approval to install stud walls, flip the current staircase and install a new toilet on the ground floor.
On the first floor, it will install new stud walls and fire doors, as well as the staircase being flipped.
Satisfied with the proposals, a Cheshire East planning officer said: "The proposed works are acceptable in principle and would accord with the relevant policies of the development plan.
"The application for planning permission is recommended for approval, subject to conditions.
According to Companies House, Ice and Fire Studios has been operating from a residential address in Crewe since December 2023.
