A new shop is planning to open until 2am on a busy stretch close to Crewe Railway Station, replacing a former taxi office within the town.

On Wednesday 23 August, Mini Grosik Off Licence submitted a premises license application to open on 31-33 Nantwich Road.

The European business seeks permission for the retail sale of alcohol, off the premises between 8am and 11pm (Monday to Sunday).

It also seeks to serve late night refreshments from 11pm until 2am, seven days per week.

The licensing application is on display at the former My Cab taxi office, which relocated adjacent to Passage to India, Nantwich Road, this May.

Work is currently going on at the site with a blue and black sheet covering the unit.

The premises license application reads: "Name and address of premises: Mini Grosik Off License, 31-33 Nantwich Road, Crewe, CW2 6AF.

Mini Grosik Off License seeks to serve late night refreshments from 11pm until 2am, seven days per week (Ryan Parker).

"The application is for a new premises license:

"To enable the retail sale of alcohol off the premises between 8am and 11pm and late night refreshment from 11pm until 2am Monday to Sundays.

"The full application can be inspected by contacting licensing during office hours on 0300 123 5015."

Representations to Mini Grosik's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Wednesday 20 September.
