Crewe residents will soon be able to enjoy fresh, Asian noodles out with their family and friends, as Noodle Gurus plans to open at Crewe's Market Hall this April.

"This is something I've always wanted to do but never been able to do before now." says owner and chef Wai Ng, who has lived in the Coppenhall area of Crewe for more than 10 years.

He added: "We're still putting everything together after a couple of delays, but hopefully all being well we will open before Easter at the latest."

The noodle bar which has been a plan in the making since before Christmas, is now coming together following an agreement with Crewe Market Hall.

Noodle Gurus first excited the people of Crewe in February, posting on social media: "We can't wait to get started with our adventure at Crewe Market Hall, bringing you the finest Asian street food in the town."

This week, Wai told Nub News: "The Market Hall is the place to be in Crewe at the moment, so when the opportunity came about, I thought it's now or never.

"We are a simply a family-run Noodle Bar, serving authentic Asian dishes through fresh and local produce.

"I've been a professional chef for over 40 years, working in various sectors of the Hospitality and Catering Industry. I have worked in restaurants and hotels, most notably, the Park Lane Hotel in London, so hopefully I know what I'm doing."

"The food stalls already open are all fantastic, so for the time being do come and try them."

Currently there are five night-time eateries open within the market hall. These are: Casa Mexica, Jordy's Pizza, Mighty Burger Club, Olive's Cypriot Food and Swirly Pearls.

Wai was very complimentary of Crewe Market Hall, commenting: "I think it's a fantastic addition to Crewe. It's just what the town needs not only for the people of Crewe, but to bring people back in from outside of the town.

"Like many town centres these days, Crewe is struggling due to out of town shopping areas and online shopping.

"If all the plans that are being drawn up come together, things are looking up. The Crewe Market Hall being a great first step towards that."

Noodle Gurus recently posted on their Facebook page: "Chef Wai is perfecting his menu as we speak. What would you like to see on it?"

"Things are moving along. Thanks for sticking with us."

"We promise you and your bellies, they won't be disappointed once we open."
