New 24/7 private gym launches in Crewe as High Street regeneration continues

A new 24-hour private gym chain has opened in Crewe, adding fresh momentum to the High Street's ongoing regeneration.
The 1,020 sq ft unit, formerly Motorcise Gym and previously approved for CJ's Burger Joint in spring 2025 before plans fell through, reopens as My Fit Pod Crewe on Saturday 21 February.
A private viewing will take place on February 21 between 10am and 1pm, allowing people to take a look at the new town centre facility. It will be available for bookings thereafter via its app.
Franchise manager, Mikheil Babunashvili, originally from Georgia, is an accomplished Muay Thai fighter in Nantwich and recently won the Muay Thai Nai Khanomtom European Championship belt in June 2025.
Mikhail, who resides in Willaston, told Nub News: "I moved to the UK in 2013 and have lived in Crewe and Nantwich ever since.
"When I went to the gym, I was constantly queuing for weights. I had to train late at night or very early just to avoid the crowds.
"I wanted to create a space where people can train properly and leave without waiting.
"The idea for a Crewe franchise came about 18 months ago, I saw My Fit Pod online., which started during Covid and made perfect sense, suiting those wanting to get in and out of a gym with ease.
"They helped me find the right premises, and this one on High Street stood out. The private parking was a big advantage.
"Local businesses on High Street have been very supportive. The Southern Gateway link has made this unit much more visible. I'm very happy with the location."
My Fit Pod was founded in Aylesbury and now operates in Berkhamsted, Oxford, Basingstoke, Milton Keynes and Hackney. Crewe becomes its first Cheshire site.
It offers fully private gym hire, with members booking a one-hour slot through the app and receiving a barcode to scan on entry.
Once inside, the space is theirs alone. CCTV is installed for security, with simple scan-in access and push-button exit.
The Crewe gym features Peloton bikes and treadmills, a power rack, functional trainer, Olympic bar, dumbbells, kettlebells, dual leg extension and primal benches, along with mats and resistance bands.
A Red Bull vending machine is also installed, accepting card payments. The space includes a small rest area and toilet facilities.
Mikheil said: "As soon as you book, the Pod is yours. It can be just you, you and a friend, or a small group.
"It's completely private. No noise. No fuss. No waiting.
"I've been working day and night to get the gym ready. Everything is installed from CCTV, access system and top equipment.
"From 21 February, I can finally take a short rest. I'm proud of what we've built and can't wait to open the doors.
"This part of Crewe is changing for the better, I'm really excited to be part of it."
