Nantwich man arrested for possession of a knife and drugs in Crewe town centre

Cheshire Police officers have arrested a 20-year-old man from Nantwich - following the 'possession of a bladed article' with drugs in Crewe town centre.
The incident on Delamere Street, happened just before 11am on Monday 6 March.
Police officers received reports of a man with a knife and used local authority CCTV to help identify the individual.

Following the footage, officers conducted a stop search on a 20-year-old man in Crewe town centre - finding a knife and and class B drugs (cannabis).
The man from Nantwich was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public place - with intent to supply cannabis.
He remains in custody - assisting police with further enquiries.
On Tuesday (March 7), Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "Just before 11am on Monday 6 March, officers conducted stop search on Delamere Street.
"A 20-year-old man from Nantwich on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place and possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis).

"He remains in custody assisting police with enquiries."
