Motorist suffers 'life-threatening injuries' in Crewe collision

A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after the car he was driving was involved in a collision in Crewe this morning.

The motorist was making his way along Groby Road in a white Hyundai when it was in collision with a black Ford Fiesta just before 7.30am.

The Hyundai driver, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital with what Cheshire Police describe as "serious and life-threatening injuries".

Road closures were put in place around Groby Road and drivers were asked to avoid the scene.
