Man with machete charged after 'making threats to kill' woman in Crewe
A Crewe man with a machete has been charged with "making threats to kill" a woman, along with the possession of an offensive weapon.
On Saturday 11 November, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Edleston Road.
A female said she was getting "continued" threats from a male, including threats to stab her.
After conducting enquiries, officers located and arrested a male on Edleston Road where a machete was also found.
Joshua Barlow, 18 has been charged with malicious communications and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court later this November.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "A male has been charged after making threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon.
"On Saturday 11 November, a female reported receiving continued threats from a male in the Crewe area, including threats to stab her.
"After conducting enquiries response officers located the male at an address in Crewe. During the arrest a machete was also found.
"Joshua Barlow, 18 has been charged with malicious communications and possession of an offensive weapon.
"He will appear at South Cheshire Magistrates' Court."
