Man found dead in Crewe following large emergency response

A man was sadly found dead at a house in Wistaston following a welfare concern call, causing a large emergency response.

On Tuesday 16 April, emergency services were called to Wisterdale Close, Wistaston.

At 1:44pm, Cheshire Police and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene in large numbers.

A Wales Air Ambulance also landed on The Berkeley Academy Primary School field, Laidon Avenue (Wiki Commons).

The man's death is not believed to be suspicious, with enquiries into the incident ongoing.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 1.44pm on Tuesday 16 April, officers were called to the concerns of the welfare of a man on Wisterdale Close, Wistaston.

"Officers attended and unfortunately a man was found dead at the scene.

The man's death is not believed to be suspicious, with enquiries into the incident ongoing (Cheshire Police).

"Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing, but they are not believed to be suspicious."
