Man charged with drink driving in Crewe after vehicle seen 'all over the road'
A man from Cheshire has been charged with drink driving in Crewe, with him set to appear in court next month.
On Monday 1 July, Cheshire Police received reports of a car being driven "erratically" on Beswick Drive.
At 6:50pm, officers pulled over a vehicle, requesting the driver to take a roadside breath test.
Daley Jason Sweeney, 37, of Gawsworth, failed the test and was arrested at the scene.
The man, who lives near Macclesfield, has since been charged with drink driving.
Sweeney will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 1 August.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 6.50pm on Monday 1 July, police received a report of a speeding vehicle, which was described as being all over the road and driving erratically.
"Officers subsequently stopped the car on Beswick Drive in Crewe and the driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test.
"Daley Jason Sweeney, 37, of Gawsworth, has since been charged with drink driving.
"He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 1 August."
