Man charged with drink driving following morning incident on Crewe A-road

A Crewe resident has been charged with drink driving, following a morning incident on a town A-road over the weekend.

On Sunday 1 September, Cheshire Police pulled over a vehicle being driven erratically on Dunwoody Way.

The driver of the car failed a roadside breath test and was arrested at the scene.

Rafal Konopka, 35, of Crewe St Barnabas, has been charged with drink driving.

He has since been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 23 September.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 11.11am on Sunday 1 September, police stopped a car on Dunwoody Way in Crewe.

"The driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test.

Rafal Konopka, 35, of Crewe St Barnabas, has been charged with drink driving (Cheshire Police).

"Rafal Konopka, 35, of Crewe St Barnabas, has since been charged with drink driving.

"He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 23 September."
