Man charged with drink driving after car seen 'swerving' across road in Crewe

A Crewe man has been charged with drink driving, following in incident where a Vauxhall car was seen "swerving" across the road in the town.

On Saturday 9 September, Cheshire Police response officers sighted a vehicle swerving across the road on Frank Webb Avenue.

At around 1:50am, officers pulled over the Vauxhall, breathalysing the driver at the roadside.

Wenfei Wu, 48, is set appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 3 October (Nub News).

Wenfei Wu, 48 from Crewe, blew 98, almost three times over the legal limit.

The Crewe man was arrested and has since been charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit.

Mr Wu is set appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 3 October.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "On Saturday 9 September at 1:50am, response officers sighted a vehicle swerving across the road.

"They performed a traffic road stop on the Vauxhall on Frank Webb Avenue.

"The driver blew 98 on a roadside breath test.
