Fourth man charged following Crewe Brookhouse estate stabbing
Detectives investigating a stabbing incident on Crewe's Brookhouse estate, have charged a fourth men in connection with the incident.
Richard Wharton, of no fixed abode, has been charged with section 18 assault (wounding with intent) and violent disorder.
The 44-year-old appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday 16 August where he was remanded in custody.
Nathan Thomas, 36, of Wingate Road, Worsley, has been charged with violent disorder and section 18 assault.
Nigel Dunne, 45, of Remer Street, Crewe, has also been charged with violent disorder.
Most recently, Christopher Rawlings, 44, of Willow Crescent, Wistaston, was charged with possession of a bladed article and violent disorder and appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Monday 21 August.
All four men are next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 13 September.
The charges relate to an incident which occurred near to the Raven public house, Brookhouse Drive, at around 6.40pm on Sunday 13 August.
A 44-year-old local man remains in hospital at this time.
