Man charged following robbery of Crewe town centre betting shop

Cheshire Police officers investigating the robbery of a Crewe betting shop, have charged a man from Cheshire in relation to the incident.
Benjamin Hargreaves, 35, of Holmes Chapel Road, Holmes Chapel, was arrested on Thursday 18 April in Middlewich Road, Sandbach.
He has since been charged with robbery, criminal damage, and possession of a class B drug.
Hargreaves' charges relate to reports of a robbery at Coral, Market Street, Crewe, at 1.51pm on Thursday 18 April.
The Holmes Chapel man was reported to have entered the betting shop, making threats, before making off with a "quantity of cash."
Visitors to Crewe town centre witnessed armed officers entering Coral, with a police helicopter seen circling over the town.
The helicopter was then seen hovering over Sandbach, where Hargreaves was arrested.
Hargreaves appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Saturday 20 April.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 20 May.
