Man charged after assaulting two shop staff on Crewe retail park
A local man has been charged with assaulting two shop staff on Crewe's main retail park, despite already being banned from the store.
On Saturday 18 November, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident at Boots, Grand Junction Retail Park.
A man who was already banned from the store was asked to leave by staff, but refused and became aggressive.
The man pushed a member of Boots staff and grabbed another before leaving the store.
Police attended Grand Junction Retail Park and located the man walking past Mountain Warehouse.
The man became abusive to officers, threatening to assault them, but was arrested.
Gordon Glyn-Roberts 47, has been charged with two counts of common assault.
He has been remanded to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "On Saturday 18 November, a male entered Boots, Grand Junction Retail Park, though he was banned from the store.
Staff challenged the male and asked him leave but he became aggressive.
"He pushed a member of staff and grabbed another one before leaving.
"Response units attended and picked him up walking past Mountain Warehouse.
"He threatened to assault officers and became abusive, but was overpowered and arrested.
"Gordon Glyn-Roberts 47, has been charged with two section 39 assaults. He was remanded to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court."
