Man arrested in Crewe town centre after police respond to incident
Cheshire Police arrested a man in Crewe town centre, after officers responded to a shoplifting incident in the town.
On Tuesday 20 February, Cheshire Police received reports of a man shoplifting from a store on Grand Junction Retail Park.
At around 2pm, officers were deployed to the scene, locating the suspect on Earle Street, outside Crewe Market Hall.
A 28-year-old man was detained and arrested on suspicion of theft.
The man has since been dealt with a community resolution order.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Shortly before 2pm on Tuesday 20 February, police were made aware of reports of shoplifting from a store on Grand Junction Retail Park.
"Following enquiries, officers detained a 28-year-old man in Earle Street in relation to the incident.
"He was arrested on suspicion of theft but has since been dealt with via a community resolution order.
