A man has been arrested after allegedly making a Nazi salute during a protest outside Webb House in Crewe, home to the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light.
Cheshire Police attended the Victoria Avenue demonstration on Saturday 9 May, witnessing an incident involving a man who "raised his arm in a gesture associated with Nazi ideology while a suspected antisemitic song was played aloud from a nearby vehicle."
The 27-year-old male, a self-proclaimed neo-Nazi, was arrested in connection with the incident and since been released on bail with conditions not to enter Cheshire.
A 60-year-old man was also arrested and later bailed pending further enquiries.
Two other protesters, a 57-year-old woman and 44-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of separate offences.
Protests come after 11 members of the Ahmadi religious group have been arrested on suspicion of alleged serious sex, forced marriage and modern slavery offences.

These offences involve attempted arson and failure to comply with a dispersal order.

"Cheshire Constabulary respects the right to lawful, peaceful protest, but as part of our role we must ensure that others can continue with their legitimate business, and any escalation towards committing offences will not be tolerated."
