London man arrested after car collides with parked vehicles outside Crewe hotel
A man has been arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without the owner's consent and multiple other offences, after colliding into parked cars in Crewe.
On Sunday 7 April, Cheshire Police received reports of man "driving erratically" on Beswick Drive car park, outside Travelodge Crewe.
At 6:04pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a vehicle had collided with multiple parked vehicles.
A 19-year-old man from Greater London was detained and arrested at the scene.
He was also arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.
The male remains in police custody, assisting officers with enquiries.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 6:04pm on Sunday 7 April, police were called to the car park of Travelodge Crewe, Beswick Drive, following reports of a man driving erratically around the car park.
"Crewe Response Team attended the incident and a male was detained at the scene.
"The male, 19, from Greater London, was arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without the owner's consent.
"He was also arrested for driving without due care and attention, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.
"The man has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
