Man arrested after 'breaking into sheds' on 'suspected stolen' pushbike in Crewe

Cheshire Police officers have arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of burglary - after he was seen 'breaking into sheds" on a 'suspected stolen' pushbike in Crewe.

The incidents in the Gresty Road area of town, were first reported to Crewe Police around 4:40am on Saturday 17 June.

Another report followed In the same proximity minutes later, with officers from the Response Policing Unit quickly arriving at the scene.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal (Nub News).

Police found the 34-year-old male nearby, who was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal. 

The pushbike he was using was also seized as suspected stolen property. 

This man has since released on conditional bail until Friday 8 September.

On Wednesday 21 June, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "At 4.40am on Saturday 17 June, police were called to reports of a man breaking into sheds in the Gresty Road area of Crewe. 

"Officers attended the scene and a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal. 

The man breaking into sheds on Gresty Road has since released on conditional bail until Friday 8 September (Ryan Parker).

"The man has since been released on conditional bail until Friday 8 September."

In a social media statement, Crewe Police urged the public to be careful in keeping their valuables out of view and sheds locked and secured.

Police also urged the pubic to keep bikes secured - even when inside a secure outbuilding or shed.
