A MAN has appeared at South Cheshire Magistrates' Court today (Tuesday) charged with murder.

Daniel Griffiths, 43, of Stafford Street, Audlem was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court tomorrow (Wednesday).

The charge arises following a police investigation into the death of Andrew Guy, aged 54, who was found deceased at a property in Buerton near Audlem on Sunday, October 17.

Griffiths, wearing a grey top and joggers, spoke only to confirm his name and address in the Crewe court.

There was no application made for bail.

  • Cheshire Police say a 40-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday, October 29, has been released on conditional bail.
